The experiment...

Well…what’s with the experiment, you see, we have these two tumblers that have the mark 1000ml's on it, but their sizes are obviously off! Check the two below...so we wanted to see which bottle was lying! hahahah...

We bought 4 bottles of 500ml mineral water, 2 bottles each for each tumbler, the correct tumbler should be able to hold the 1000ml volume of water….and here’s what happened…



Mine…the smaller one, was off by 250ml (see picture)! wah so looks like we can never trust the measurement on the water bottles / tumblers sold! Pireya’s tumbler was correct…1000ml (both mineral bottles empty) could go in….I need a new tumbler!

Here's what my mum sent me - forwarded emails, but I like the content...here to those who judge people so easily :)

As the saying goes "don't judge a book by it's cover!" ---> time & time again...but we still do huh?

There was an Indian Chief who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer, and the youngest son in the Fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.


The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no, it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The Chief then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.

He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, And that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's Winter, you will miss the promise of Spring, the beauty of Summer, and the fulfillment of Fall!

row row row ur boat...

What to do? Take a risk or just let it stay as it is? Not sure which way to go...hence the question put on fb "Shaz is contemplating - Should I rock the boat on the calm waters or should I just let it stay in that state of boredom?"

If I choose to rock it, I may loose out, or I might just get what I asked for, but then again, is what I'm asking for really what I want..haih...how to know...but I feel better opportunities awaits me there...there's speed and momentum already if I'm there...I came from that environment and it felt good when people treated me with importance I guess..., whereas it's very slow pace where I am...

If I stay this way, I would still not know...and what is there to loose if I rock it and don't get what I want? first of all, mental torture, the pain of doing something I don't like at a higher scale and I might just not rise as I intended to this year...where does that leave me? Well I do have time for leisure activities I guess, get to go to the gym and all, but the satisfaction is a bit low...actually very low...

And the astrology book, didn't really help either, I'll have to really tackle this one carefully or I will be hated by certain parties once I rock the boat! I hope everything works out for the best...

Put and I have been wanting to get together to read this astrology book by Joseph Polansky, since most of it were true last year...not all, but just the important ones...hehe not that we are a firm believer but just for fun..to see the direction written in the stars...anyway...it turned into a game night, Myra n Eliana joined & Myra's friends came, Kamal, Pejal & Hafez...

Happy Birthday Mama!

It's been a year since the last surprise party we had for her, it feels like yesterday we were busy doing the preparations, and yet, a year has gone by...anyway...here's wishing Mama a Happy Birthday!

We went for Dinner @ Aryan, The Weld, Uncle Man, Auntie Min, Nimal, Kak Ta & Uncle Tareq joined us...Uncle Tareq had to catch his flight back to Dubai that was 2.30am this morning...anyway...we had this discussion about a family vacation and Nimal was to handle to the trip to bandung...looks like I will be going twice to bandung if this plan materializes..
