Give it back!

Do I really need to beg to get back what is mine? Like seriously people, if you borrow something return it. What’s with keeping people’s things. And it’s not like I am not asking for it back. I want it back, so can I have it please? It’s not yours to hold to begin with. Stop acting like you have a right to my stuff (money and things). Arghh it’s just so damn annoying.
and yes this post is directed to a few people that keeps ignoring me! Bozo's!

I got burnt! @ Ramadhan Buffet

Ok...that was an exaggeration, but yes I got splashed with hot oil at this Ramadan Buffet "Kampung Style" at Grand Continental Kuala Lumpur today. I was annoyed, the oil like splashed to my face & all over my clothes, I was stunned for a while, the guy behind the kuali didn't even say anything, I was in pain (like pedih) and shocked at that point in time, they could have done something..then I heard the girl beside me who witnessed it saying "sorry" after 1 minute. I was like, so angry that the guy in front of me didn't say anything, & the girl yes, being nice said sorry, ask lah how I was!! sakit tau tak minyak panas kena muka, nasib baik je no marks, if not, siap la diaorg...

They buffet was charged at RM52++ (20% off for public bank credit card holders), that was why we went there, ada 20%, so what the heck, try and see, but no more buffet at hotels after this, if no one actually recommends it! I will never go for this kinda buffet anymore. It's a huge OUT!! Strike off my list!!Dah la surau pun tak de telekung, not even one, like Corus (at least one la kan).

So how was the food you may ask...here look at our faces..only a few things was nice, the rest...hmmm
The last pic was after I got the oil splash, can see the oil on the face and dress...& there's eliana's fake smile, azita's was real I guess & Hasliza's smile to cry..ahaks!

ok, back to oil spashing story, I went back to the table & told the girls and they called for the manager at once, so I told him that I was splashed by the oil while taking the food which was located beside the frying pan which btw shouldn't have been there, and that I did get an apology from another girl after a while but I was really furious at the way they handled it, and like oil all over my dress & face!! not to mention the 'pedih'ness on my nose...anyway he pulled up a chair and spoke to us for a while, I shot him directly about the management of the buffet, the crowd and late refills, I told them off about their service, its not like you didn't expect a crowd right, he passed his name card and said he will talk to the cashier (we didn't ask what he was going to do, but we expected a nice discount or FOC for me at least! (one person!!)

So when we were paying guess what, another attitude problem from the cashier, again we were so pissed by their customer service, how dare the cashier give the annoyed face to us the customer (a paying one ok, we are not getting free food from you people!) and on top of that who just got splashed with oil??!! and what do you expect the manager on duty would have done to compensate for the unwanted event?

First of all the cashier should be aware of this 4 angry customers right, we were quite cool, we didn't do anything accept make a complaint directly to the manager about their kuali location, OSHA requirement and off course the bad service which they deserved!. So when we went to the counter, told the girl that we expected some sort of compensation (i.e discount), the manager should have already informed her about the incident and therefore compensate us. This girl at the cashier told the other guy there, with an irritated expression "tak tau lah apa masalah diaorg, layan la diaorg". So this guys says that we can get the 20% discount, what the hell??! that was already on the public card offer!! I said that and he said to give the 30% discount only the manager can sign off, I said "you get the manager to sign off",of course with a very angry tone! but then again 30% is just 10% addition only, Hasliza was already furious...its really nothing much right?? Well we took it and went off, just wait for the complain letter then & off course bad publicity lah now that its on the blog! they spoiled my day!

I didn't bother to take the main courses earlier, since Eliana & Hasliza wanted McD so much, which we went to after that for snacks (I think I'm just not in luck today, McD pun something happened, will tell later)...but of course the time spent with friends is always precious & priceless :)

So here's some happy faces...& nice view behind us..KLCC!

Well-organized vs Inefficiencies

I hate inefficiencies, be it in the office, at home or organizing a plan or event, I don’t like uncertainties, especially when we make plans and it gets canceled on the last minute. It’s really annoying because we could have made other plans if we were being informed earlier.

When you organize a meeting in the office, make sure all relevant parties are being informed in advance, book the meeting room, get the laptop and projector in advance etc, not last minute assign people to do it and if you know your being called for a meeting, respond to the coordinator on your availability, don’t just be silent and not turn up! And organizers should follow up with attendees, and reschedule the meeting if necessary. If a meeting is rescheduled, the whole work plan is at a halt. No one can move on with the project as a meeting is normally to thrash out issues or come to an agreement.

As for social meetings or meet ups, if a plan is not definite or confirmed, how do we know it’s in place? It’s like you keep on planning since a month ago, with a date and time but never even confirm it...! People block their calendar for such things and if it ends up not confirmed, and doesn’t take place, it would be such a waste of a day in someone’s calendar as they could have assigned another meeting or something else to do. Most of the time miscommunication arises due to this kind of planning, if there is a plan for something, make it and stick to it, if you can’t give early notice, don’t leave the other person hanging, it’s really inconsiderate. As much as punctuality comes into play here, it’s still better late than never, at least that’s what I think, but of course not too late until the other party leaves!

And now, when I’m planning on this reunion thingy, I have sent out invitation to 150 plus people and I have 82 people not responded. Don’t they have any regard what so ever for the organizer who is doing all the work!! It’s not like we are being paid or we are earning any money out of this event, we are even taking payment less than cost price and looking for sponsors so that invitees don’t have to bear the cost! Request for payments in advance is also a huge task, asking for each of their contact details…, but what to do if people just don’t care to repond…

I’m easily annoyed these days; it’s a sign of growing old perhaps? Sigh…

Annoyed with a motorcyclist

This morning, as I was driving to work, I got annoyed with a motorcyclist. Some people just got no manners! It was at a traffic light at Jalan Ampang, it was red light and I stopped (no… I’m saying I’m a good driver, there’s more).

Anyway...suddenly this motorcycle just comes so fast from the back and hits my side mirror, until it turned outwards. Well I know these things happens, but the part that got me annoyed was due to the fact that he didn't bother to turn around and show a sorry sign (by lifting up the hands or something) he just went right to the front. What’s the hurry??? It was red light...not that he could get anywhere anyway!! Most of the motorcyclist that I have encountered that does this is very apologetic, so I have no issues with them, not like this one this morning…so rude…of course this is not the first for me...there's more, just thought of how these things can disturb our mood and our perfect morning...…

what's with customer service...?

Today rasa cam nak cerite about this karaoke center that really pissed me off...this is the story...

We wanted to go karaoke-ing last Saturday, lepas tensen la konon...rasanye got even more tensed lepas tu...anyway...so Su called and booked la at this place in Amp Park, itu pun they said it was already on waiting list no 9 for the 5.30pm slot (lepas class pre-exam), so we told the rest of the gang to be there by then...anyway…we finished class earlier around 4.30pm instead of 5pm, so we went there by 5pm. Then the girl at the counter, after knowing the fact that we had booked for 5.30pm which was on 9th waiting list, had the cheek to tell us that we are on waiting list, 12th position in line, apa hal lak nie… we booked ok.. it means, if there’s any empty, they should start keeping for those that booked kan, not give it to walk in’s. Marah betul, then the guy said, ok we’ll give you 7th in line (better lah instead of the 9th or 12th!!)

Anyway…since it was still 5pm , we had expected to be in by 5,30pm, so we told them to maintain the booking for 3 hours, and guess what…we got a room at 6pm, hah..that’s with reservation and we came early, just imagine if we came at 5.30pm, what time we’d get the room!!…what kinda service is this??

Then, masuk je the room, lepas 5 minutes, they bring the bill…hey..ingat org nak lari ke..pastu dah la org dah masuk 1 hour late, bukan nak tanye if we still want to be there 3 hours, straight away bring the bill…then we said, we want either 2 or 2.5 hours, since that was the original plan, anyway, we will confirm later when all dah sampai, and this guy said ok…and than, after 15 minutes, another guy comes in with the bill..again..and we said we told the other guy we were not sure of the 3 hours, and we do not want to be there for 3 hours, not after getting a room late…he said his manager was out, so they couldn’t void the bill, and then Su n Elaine was trying to talk nicely to him to try la, then he said “kalo boleh, boleh la, kalo tak, kena bayar jugak”, uihh..byk cantik muka dia…I got pissed la…

So I yang dah kena tunggu kat sana for an hour, and then get treated this way, definitely I won’t take this nonsense, I told him, we are not going to pay for three hours, we came at 5pm, asked for a room for 3 hours, paling-paling pun you can count the from 5.30pm since we made the reservation for that time, means we want to be out of this place by 8.30pm, not 9pm and why should we pay more? And if you can’t void the bill, that’s really not my problem, you tell your manager that we wanted to pay for 2.5 hours, get a new bill out for now and get that bill void later, I don’t have to pay more, just because the duty manager was at the other branch!! Hah, so that was what he did, boleh kan? Anyway, he threw tantrums, by slamming the door when he came to pass the bill, take signature n again when he returned the credit card, kurang ajar betul, macam ni ke customer service?

So, that’s it for that place for me, I’m not going there again…menyusahkan je..dah la tu…spoil people’s mood je..

Annoyed at work...

This is just one of the stories of the annoying people I had to deal with at the office…

Last week, I made a visit to Ms X’s dept as I was required to understand their reporting stuff n all, its quite a long process so they asked me to go over to their place (which is 20 mins plus away), so we (my colleague & I) went there…

When we reached there at 10am as promised, we were told not really in a nice way to wait cause she’s busy, fine...so we waited, no big deal… another lady there told us to pull up a chair, how nice of her...kalau tak we would just be standing and waiting at this place where we don't know the people...

Then while she (Ms X) was taking us through the workings, we could sense how unfriendly she was, also she was really breezing through the items so fast, until I actually started having a headache, so we just took all the files – really lots of them, and studied it on our own, for the items that we needed to look at…

A few days back, I needed additional information that I could not find in their workings, so I called up Ms X for further clarification of these items that she reports, well she told me she doesn’t know and told me to refer to her boss, which I did via email…and cc to her as well.

Here’s the gist of my nice email:

“Hi Ms Y (the boss)

Could we have further information on the items from the xxx below?
We need to know what the characteristics/.structure of each item is, i.e.: (bla bla bla…)
We need this info in order to profile….bla bla bla…"

And then…after half an hour, this Ms X replies to me

“I would suggest that you come over and take a look at the agreements. We are pretty busy right here.”

What she thinks I can just leave my work and go there just like that? All she needs to do is refer to her workings and compile the info, tak lama pun, she wants me to go there and read the agreement documents??!!…Ingat dia sorang je la bz, and she could just be soo rude!! I wasn’t even talking to her (she was just being cc, as a polite gesture) well… I called her boss immediately, and her boss was so apologetic, and said she has already forwarded my request to another staff, and that she doesn’t understand why Ms X had to reply that way to me…

Anyway after 1+ hour, I got my information…

Lucky thing I didn’t cc to my boss, she would have called up their SM directly. Well siap la if Ms X is ever rude again…thanks to Ms Y, I could get my work done :)
